Bathing Waters
Wirral has four designated bathing waters; West Kirby, Meols, Moreton and Wallasey beach.
The Council's Pollution Control team samples water quality 20 times a year (from May to September) at Fort Perch Rock (New Brighton), Leasowe Bay, Red Rocks (Hoylake), West Kirby Marine Lake and Thurstaston Beach.
The Environment Agency samples water quality 20 times a year (from May to September) at Wallasey Beach (Wallasey Village), Moreton Sea Wall (Pasture Road), Dove Point (Meols) and West Kirby Main Beach.
