Home Reader Service
The Home Reader Service is available to all Wirral residents who are unable to visit their local library due to illness, disability or frailty.
Items can be delivered free of charge direct to your home, including:
- Hardback and paperback books
- Fiction and non-fiction
- Large and standard print
- Spoken word cassettes
- CDs and DVDs
- Reference and community information
Users can request a particular book or item, or staff can choose items that reflect a person’s personal taste as far as possible.
Visits are made on a regular 4 weekly basis and will be made at a pre-arranged time which is convenient to you.
Although most of this service is provided from Bebington Central Library, it covers all parts of the borough.
People living in sheltered accommodation are very welcome to use the service; simply ask your Warden to contact us and we will be pleased to arrange a visit to speak to you and any neighbours that may be interested.
If you would like to know more about the Home Reader Service, please get in touch with us using the contact details below.
