ICT Facilities

  • Computer terminals with internet access available for the public to use.
  • Access is free of charge for the first half hour
  • ICT courses run each term, subject to enough people enrolling. - please ask library staff for details
  • Photocopying fax, printing and scanning facilities are available.

 

Training & Advice Centre, within the library.

CAB advisors are available in the training and advice suite on most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am - 12.00pm (closed last Tuesday of every month). This is a drop-in service, so there is no need to book.

Read Yourself Well
Read Yourself Well materials include books, leaflets and CDs. They provide information on medical conditions, treatments, mental health, alternative therapies, relaxation, healthy living and lots more. Information about local support groups and services is also available.

Toilets
Toilet facilities are available, including an adapted one for people with disabilities.

Saveaways
Saveaways offering reduced price, flexible access, to local public transport are on sale in the library.

 

Activities

Baby Bounce & Rhyme
An interactive way for parents and carers to introduce their babies and toddlers to the library. Experience the fun of sharing nursery rhymes and singing action songs. Ideally suited for babies and toddlers from 0 – 3 years old. Fridays 9.30am - 10am, Free.

Storytime for the Under 5s
Thursdays at 9.30am - FREE

Doodle Time
Every Monday @ 2:15, Craft & stories for the under 5s

Periodic Talks and Demonstrations
The library offers occasional talks and demonstrations. Details of events at all libraries will be listed in the What’s on section of this website.

Adult Reading Group
There are two adult reading groups, which usually meet on the last Thursday of the month. The am group meets 11am – 12noon. The pm group meets 6pm – 7pm.

Local Councillors' surgeries:
Last Saturday of the month, 11 - 12.

MP Surgery
The local Member of Parliament, Angela Eagle MP, holds a surgery on a Saturday once a month (excluding August). Please contact the library for details of the next surgery.

1st Tuesday of the month 10 - 12. Express your views.

Access Information

  • From Moreton Cross, take Pasture Road and the Library is located on the right-hand side - just past the shops
  • Limited parking available on the Municipal Offices car park
  • The building is accessible, with a level approach and automatic doors
  • All parts of the library are accessible by wheelchair
  • An adapted toilet is available.
