Reference library
Birkenhead Reference Library offers a fantastic range of quality information resources, completely free to Wirral Library borrowers. These include business directories, government publications, yearbooks, maps, encyclopaedias, dictionaries, national and local newspapers and periodicalsfor finding quick facts or background information to your studies and projects.

Sound and Vision
DVDs & Talking books (on CD, MP3 CD, Playaway and cassette) are all available for hire. There is usually a charge for this service, please contact library for details. Cassette talking books are free to borrow. A collection of foreign language courses are available on CD, Playaway and cassette.

ICT suite
Free internet use for library members.

Read Yourself Well
Providing a range of information (including books, leaflets and CDs), on medical conditions and treatments, including, mental health, alternative therapies, healthy living. Information on local support groups and services is also available.

Storytime 
For Under 5s take place at 2.15pm every Thursday.

Baby Bounce and Rhyme
Provides a relaxed sing-a-long, with lots of musical instruments and free refreshments for 4 to 18 month olds every Thursday Morning from 10am – 10.30am.
