Schools Library Service Resources

The Schools Library Service provides a wide range of resources for teachers from primary, secondary and special schools in Wirral.

Project Loans and Class Sets
Project loans support teaching topics for the term such as books, posters, videos, electronic books, CDs and DVDs. Resources offer support across the curriculum including modern foreign languages.

Class sets (30 books of the same title), play sets and author sets (different books by the same author/illustrator) are available to loan for one term and can be ordered in advance.

Art Prints & Photo Packs
Art prints and photo packs on a wide range of subjects to support teaching topics. These can be ordered in conjunction with other loans or separately.

We loan resources on behalf of the Science advisory teachers. Please phone to check availability.

Artefacts Collection
We offer a large collection of historical, religious and cultural artefacts. Artefact boxes are available for the following topic areas:

• RE & Festivals
• History and History Timelines
• World Artefacts
• Art & Craft.

Whiteboard Actives
A selection of BBC Whiteboard Actives including CD ROMs with images, audio, interactive games and activities, as well as accompanying teaching notes.

We supply a variety of Whiteboard Actives for different age ranges. Foundation stage as well as Key Stages 1 & 2 including RE, History, Geography, MFL, Literacy & Science.

CDs & DVDs
These may be included in project loans if available but can also be requested separately. CDs and DVDs may be ordered to accompany class sets and author sets, however separate subject areas are available.
