Schools Library Service - How to borrow resources
There are a number of ways to borrow resources from the Schools Library Service:
- By phone, fax or e-mail (please see the contact details in the column on the right side of this page)
- Call in - teachers and school representatives are welcome to browse the resources available at Wirral Council’s Professional Excellence Centre in Acre Lane.
Wirral Schools Library Service is available to all teachers working within the Wirral Education Authority - primary, secondary and special schools. At present, all primary and special schools have devolved funding; secondary schools have delegated funding and therefore may choose whether or not to subscribe to the service.
For details on your school's service agreement, please contact the Schools Library ServiceProject loans, artefacts, class sets and Whiteboard Active CD ROMs' are available for one term loan.
Fiction loans are available for up to a year.
We send copies of our request forms to the school secretary at the
beginning of each term, however additional copies can be downloaded from the Resources page on this website.
Please make a request to the Schools Library Service in advance of the term you require it for. Please try to book early for loans such as class sets and artefacts as these resources as very popular and may become booked up quickly.
