Register at Birth
Register at birth - And start to enjoy great things to do with your baby at your local library
Its never too early to introduce your child to the joys of a library. Wirral’s local libraries welcome children of any age, providing fun, stimulation and lots to explore!
Each one is packed with music, stories, games, crafts, puzzles, child-size furniture, picture-books, and OTHER KIDS.
Visiting with your child from an early age will make the library a familiar place and will help them develop the curiosity and desire to discover a love for learning, and better reading skills.
Our friendly staff aren’t phased by ‘kids being kids’ and are always on hand to answer questions and give advice.
Get in touch with your local branch for details of what’s on offer for you and your baby, including Baby Bounce & Rhyme, and Storytime, the Bookstart programme and our very own Toy Library at Beechwood. Check out the other pages in this section for details of more family fun!
You can join at any age - the younger the better !
Joining your library is free and easy and will give you and your child the opportunity to explore thousands of books for free, as well as lots of other fantastic services and activities.
You can register your child at any age, in fact our youngest member joined us at just a couple of weeks old! Your child can start enjoying the benefits of membership right away and borrow up to 8 items at a time (You can borrow up to 16!)
Get your child registered today. Download our Register at Birth leaflet, complete the interim joining card and take it along to any Wirral Library.
You will also need to take proof of your name and current address with you, and fill in a form on his/her behalf. You will be asked to sign the form as a guarantor and you will be responsible for items borrowed on that card.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
