Connexions service

Greater Merseyside Connexions offers a free and confidential service, giving unbiased information, advice, guidance and support to people aged 13 to 19 or up to 25 years old for people with special educational needs.

Personal advisers from the Connexions Service can provide information on education, employment and training opportunities. They can also support young people to tackle any barriers that may be preventing them from achieving their full potential.

Personal advisors from the Connexions Service are available in every school in the Wirral area to help young people:

  • review their skills and achievements
  • talk about their career interests
  • tackle any barriers to progression
  • make the best choices to meet their abilities, needs and ambitions

Personal advisors are also available at the three Wirral Connexions Centres and through outreach work in local communities.

The Education Business Partnership for Wirral is delivered through the Connexions Service, based at Bebington Connexions Centre, and co-ordinates work-related activities between schools and local businesses including:

  • work experience
  • professional development activities for teachers
  • preparation for work, for example, mock interviews

Contact your local Connexions Centre for more information about any of their services.
