Re-housing following clearance

Wirral Council offers re-housing support to residents or business who have to move due to Clearance. This includes a Homemovers service or business support which helps people to find a new home.

There is a range of re-housing options including:

• Outright home ownership

• Shared ownership

• Renting in the private sector

• Renting social housing provided by a Registered Social Landlord or local Housing Association

More general support is provided for residents opting to stay in, or close to, the area being cleared. This focuses on maintaining neighbourhood stability, community safety and environmental standards.
