Triangles Group Repair Scheme

The Triangles Group Repair Scheme has made a major difference to the look and feel of over 450 properties in this long established neighbourhood in Birkenhead.

Works to the properties include roof renewal, chimney and flashing renewal, pointing of external brickwork, window and door renewal.

New gutters and downspouts, boundary wall improvements and external decoration are also being carried out.

The works are divided into phases with the final phase being programmed for 2010/2011.

Housing Market Renewal funds were used to support home owners, who were asked to contribute up to 25% of the cost of works to their properties.

To date 100% of residents participated in the scheme and their response to the improvements has been very positive.

Neighbouring properties in Norman Street are benefiting from a scheme that provides a new front boundary wall with new copings, railings and gates.

A tree planting scheme has also been completed around the perimeter of the area which complements the newly refurbished properties.
