First Homes

Wirral Council's Homemovers Team deliver an initiative called First Homes, which mainly helps first time buyers on a low income to buy their own home in Wirral's Housing Market Renewal area. This includes parts of Wallasey, Birkenhead, Rock Ferry and Tranmere.

First Homes comprises 3 schemes:

Each of these schemes provides the following help:

 - Support and guidance on the whole home buying process from a Home Ownership Advisory Officer

 - Referral to an Independent Financial Advisor who can provide mortgage advice

 - Access to other support services that may be required

Single applicants must have an income of up to £30,000 and couples up to £40,000 per year.

*Subject to eligibility and criteria. There is a limited amount of funding available; once it has all been used, incentive payments will cease.
