Grey bin - Household recycling
Your grey wheelie bin is for kerbside recycling.
- If you live in a flat or apartment, your containers and collection system may be slightly different.
Please check the table below for what we can and cannot collect in your grey bin:

All types of plastic bottles: including drinks bottles, washing up liquid bottles and shampoo bottles – please rinse and put the top back on |

Glass bottles and jars of all colours – please rinse and remove the lids (these can be put in to the bin loose) |

Magazines, junk mail, newspapers, office paper, windowless envelopes, paper bags, wrapping paper (not foil) |

Cardboard boxes, cardboard food packaging (not soiled), egg cartons, loo/kitchen rolls or greeting cards. |

- There is no need to crush items just rinse and add loose to your bin.
- Do not wrap any recycling in plastic bags.

Missing Bins
If your bin goes missing on the day of collection or is damaged, please contact Streetscene by phone (0151 606 2004), email (streetscene@wirral.gov.uk) or online, by 5pm the next working day after collection or you could be charged for a new bin (see bin charging for further details). Report a missing bin.
