Planned Preventative Maintenance
The Council is responsible for the maintenance and repair of many Council buildings, the property portfolio ranges from historic buildings to modern schools, libraries, adult and children’s services buildings and office accommodation.
The Planned Preventative Maintenance Section covers many areas including:
- Routine planned upgrades and replacement of the various building structures
- It can also cover upgrades of any other aspect within the buildings, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm system etc
- Internal and External Refurbishment
- Flat and pitched roof renewal
- Internal and external paint and repair
- Window frame replacement
- Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Access and egress to and from the building
- Playground and car park extensions and resurfacing
- Eco Homes Projects
- Care and Maintenance of War Memorials to which the Council have Ownership
Various new buildings, extensions, and refurbishments have been undertaken throughout the Borough including:

- Refurbishment of Hoylake Fountain
- Brookhurst Primary Re-Roof
- Wirral Tennis Centre Gutter Renewal
- Prenton Primary Concrete repairs
