Pest Control

The Council’s Pest Control section can provide treatments to control a range of pests, including, rats, mice, cockroaches and bedbugs. Some of these services may be charged for.

Charges below are as of April 2011:

Domestic

  • Rats, Cockroaches, Bed Bugs - Free of charge
  • Ants, fleas, mice, wasps nest - £46.00 (incl. VAT)
  • Domestic insect identification (refundable against treated pests) - £26.00 (incl. VAT)

Local Authority one-off work

  • Hourly rate - £72.00 (VAT exempt)
  • Half hour rate - £46.00 (VAT exempt)

Commercial one-off work

  • Hourly rate - £72.00 + VAT
  • Half hour rate - £46.00 + VAT
  • Commercial insect identification (refundable against treatment or contract) - £26.00 + VAT

(10% and 20% discounted rates provided for 1 and 3 year contracts. £10 per hour suppliment and minimum charge of £10 for out of hours service)
