Purpose of the exercise:
Wirral Council is developing a new long term housing strategy which will run up to 2026.The new strategy will set out the key issues which will affect housing policies and initiatives both now and in the future. We are seeking views on seven key housing issues to help inform the strategy and how we respond to these issues.

The Housing Strategy Team will use the feedback from the questionnaires to inform the development of the Housing Strategy (2011-2026).

Who will be consulted and how:
Stakeholders including partner organisations, local residents, private and social landlords, and the voluntary sector will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire on their views on the seven key housing issues identified and our suggested vision for the future.

How can you get involved:
The survey will be emailed directly to stakeholders and organisations representing stakeholders e.g. Voluntary and Community Action Wirral (VCAW). The survey will also be available on the Council website, and through One Stop Shops and Wirral Libraries.

Who will the results of the exercise be reported to:
The results will inform the final Housing Strategy (2011-2026) which will be reported to the Council’s Cabinet.

What were the results of the exercise:
Following the consultation the results will be made available on the Council’s website.

What changes to the service will take place as a result of the exercise:
The exercise will set out those key issues which will affect housing policies and initiatives now and in the future. This will inform a clear Housing Investment Plan to respond to these issues.
