Policy on fees and charges under the Freedom of Information Act

In general, information included in the scheme is available free of charge, however there will be some exceptions to this.

Where charges are made for published material they will be justified, transparent and kept to a minimum.

Some statutory information is subject to charges, for example local land charges. These charges are normally set out on our website.

Wirral Council may also charge for costs incurred in supplying information that is not otherwise available to freely download via the website.
