Volunteering Wirral

Volunteering Wirral is a three year Lottery funded Partnership project between Wirral CVS and VCA Wirral.

At a glance the project provides:

  • information, advice and guidance to individuals wishing to volunteer
  • help to voluntary and community sector organisations with volunteer recruitment
  • information, advice and guidance on managing volunteers and training
  • volunteer recognition schemes, including, 100 Hours Volunteering Certificate, Long Service Medallion for Volunteering and the Wirral Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Volunteer Organisers Forum, held every quarter at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead. The Forum provides an opportunity for workers who have responsibility for supporting/managing volunteers to network and share information
  • free information sessions and workshops plus all the latest information and research on volunteering issues
  • events and fairs
