Children's Centres
Sure Start Children’s Centres have been established across Wirral and act as the hub for service delivery for support for children under 5 and their families. The Centres form part of the Government’s agenda to improve access to health, education and social care for families thereby improving the life chances of young children.

A wide range of services can now be accessed at locations across Wirral, including support and advice for parents and carers. The services are available to you from pregnancy right through to when your child goes into reception class at primary school.
Each Centre is a central point where families can access vital information and services from a team of professional working in a wide range of fields. This includes information and advice on early years childcare and education; family support, parenting and outreach services; child and family health services and links to employment and training opportunities.
If you are a childminder or nanny, there are also groups and activities specifically for you. Contact your nearest centre for details.
