Family support

Wirral Council has set aside £2.8m of funding to provide extra support for children and families in 2011-12.

National charities such as Barnardos and Action for Children have been successful in bidding for the funding. Along with local groups such as Wirral Multi Cultural Organisation and Wirral Resource Centre and Toy Library they will provide a range of support projects to families across Wirral.

In all, 20 organisations will provide 39 different support services over the next 12 months.
