The National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations (NCPTA) is a national charity representing over 13,000 PTAs across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. You can download useful information from the NCPTA below:

• The NCPTA provides advice and support for members through a national Advice Line on Tel. 01732 375 460. You can also download contact details details for their Adviser Team. They will help with guidance on any aspect of running a PTA, including setting up a PTA, running a successful event, understanding legal, health and safety requirements or simply some fresh, innovative fundraising ideas.
• The NCPTA Insurance Summary 2011 provides details of the insurance cover you have as part of your NCPTA membership subscription and lists the conditions of the policy
• a list of relevant events and training courses in the North West can be found on the NCPTA website.

Currently in the North West there are just under 50 per cent of PTAs in membership and enjoying the benefits that membership brings. The NCPTA are actively seeking new members all the time and encouraging members and non members alike to access the support available.
