Parenting and Family Support

Wirral developed a strategic and joined up approach to the design and delivery of parenting and family support services, through Wirral Parenting and Family Support Strategy of April 2008 that informed the Children and Young People’s Plan. 

The strategy takes account of parents’ views and support for parents is seen as a continuum, from early intervention and preventative services through to the use of enforcement measures.
