The environmental and public realm proposals will focus on the landward stretch of the promenade from Marine Point to Victoria Parade and will include the following:
- New footways, road surfaces and car parking provision;
- Hard & soft landscaping works;
- New lighting, street furniture;
- Improved signage, pedestrian flow and crossing points;
- Junction improvements at Victoria Parade & Fort Perch Rock car park
The plans will be available to view on the first floor at the Floral Pavilion from Tuesday 29th through to Thursday 31st May 2012, from 11.00am – 6.00pm. Council Officers will also be on hand to advise on the proposals and to listen to residents views.

The centrepiece is Marine Point, a £60 million development by the Council’s preferred developer Neptune bringing a Morrison's supermarket, a Travelodge hotel, the Light digital cinema, Starbucks coffee shop, Home Bargains, Brooklyns restaurant, Prezzo, Grosvenor G Casino and other retail and leisure outlets. With over 1 million people within a 30 minute drive and excellent road, rail and bus connections Marine Point and New Brighton once again offers visitors to this famous seaside town a fantastic day out for all the family.
New Brighton's famous waterfront has been changed with the £12million redevelopment of the historic Floral Pavilion Theatre, now with a prestigious business and leisure environment. A state-of-the-art 800 seat theatre and complementary conference and meeting venue has resulted in record breaking attendances as 305,000 people have watched the high quality programme of events between December 2008 and September 2010. Successful productions have included West End smash Buddy, tours by nationally acclaimed comedians such as Jason Manford and family orientated shows such as Cinderella and Horrible Science. With visitor numbers to the theatre alone expected to exceed 150,000 people per year New Brighton is fast becoming the place to watch quality live entertainment.
