Construction regulations
Britain’s construction industry is the country’s largest industry, employing some 2.2 million people.
However, it is also one of the most dangerous - over the past 25 years more than 2,800 people have died from injuries suffered as a result of construction work. Many more have been injured or made ill.
The Health & Safety Executive deals with all aspects of construction work in England, Scotland and Wales. Their website contains more information on the subject.
If businesses have been prosecuted for Health and Safety breaches, the details will be available on the Health and Safety Executive Prosecutions website.
