Commercial waste skip services

The Council currently operates a skip permit system which requires a skip operator to pay a permit fee, for any skip placed on the highway including the pavement, road or other public area.

The condition, identity and safety markings and the lighting of the skip must comply with the council skip permit conditions.

The company should pay the council on your behalf via a fee charged to you. Before hiring a skip you should check the company has the appropriate waste carrier’s license. They should produce this on request.
