Applications are being invited from qualified teachers for the posts listed below which are being publicly advertised.


The Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, Department of Education and Cultural Services considers the fair provision of services and opportunities to all those it serves and employs, irrespective of sex, creed, marital status, race, disability, age and sexual orientation, to be a matter of fundamental importance to the Department's well being. (The Local Education Authority respects the rights of governing bodies of voluntary aided schools to recruit staff of a particular creed and faith in line with the school's ethos).


All advertised vacancies are subject to the terms and conditions of the local authority's redeployment agreement as agreed with the governing bodies of schools and the headteacher and teaching associations in Wirral.


In accordance with the terms of this agreement teachers nominated as redundant by governing bodies or volunteers for redeployment will be given prior preferential consideration.
