Socio-Economic Data

The data here is from the 1991 Census of Population.

The Office of National Statistics have kindly allowed us to make this information available.

The data is available for the whole of Wirral and for geographical areas called Townships.

Please be careful how you use this data - the information here is now over ten years old.

• Population data
  This includes numbers of residents in various age groups.
• Un/employment Data
  This includes numbers and percentages of males and females unemployed, and of economically active residents.
• Social Status Data
  This includes percentages of residents in the twenty 'Social Groups' which reflect Social Status.
• Deprivation Data
  This includes numbers and percentages of households having various amenities which are used as indicators of deprivation.
