Uniform (School Clothing) Grants

We can provide grants towards the purchase of school uniform (secondary school pupils in year 7 only) for families receiving Income Support, Income Based Job Seekers Allowance, Guarantee Pension Credit, Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit with an annual income of less than £13,910.

Vetting of Contract Staff

The CRB has access to personal records held by the Police, the Department of Health, and the Department for Children, Schools and Families ensuring the best possible scrutiny of applicants.

Vision Support Service

The Vision Support Service offers a comprehensive range of services to Wirral schools, parents and pupils to support successful inclusion of children and young people who have a visual impairment from the ages of 0 to 19.

Wirral Civic Award Scheme

The Wirral Civic Award Scheme is open to all young people. The majority of those who take part are aged between 8 and 12, but our youngest awardees are 4, and the scheme can be adapted to include older teenagers if required.

Wirral Community Patrol

Wirral Community Patrol is responsible for patrolling streets, parks and gardens, cemeteries and open spaces to safeguard schools, libraries, public buildings, community property and to identify problems and safety hazards.

Wirral Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT)

Wirral Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) brings together a wide range of statutory and voluntary organisations that are concerned with the effects of drug and alcohol use in Wirral. Wirral DAAT is responsible for ensuring that the targets identified in the National Drug Strategy are achieved locally, by working in partnership with all of these many organisations.

Wirral Learning Grid

The Wirral Learning Grid is an Education Portal for teachers, pupils and parents. It provides education resources produced by Wirral school teachers and search facilities to external websites.

Wirral Metropolitan College

Wirral Metropolitan College provide further and adult education.

Wirral Multicultural Centre

The Wirral Multicultural Organisation encourages multicultural understanding and acts as a focus for all multicultural activities in Wirral.

Wirral SEN Parent Partnership Service

All Authorities must make arrangements for Parent Partnership Services.

Youth and Community Service

Wirral Youth Service, run by the Children and Young People's Department, provides social education and personal development opportunities for young people aged between 13 and 25.

Youth Offending Service (YOS)

The Wirral Youth Offending Service aims to prevent offending by children and young people.
