Notice is hereby given that:-

1. An election is to be held of ONE Councillor for each of the wards of the Borough.

2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Electoral Services Office, Ground Floor, Town Hall, Wallasey, during normal office hours, from the date of this notice, but not later than noon on Friday 4th April, 2008.

3. Forms of nomination paper may be obtained from the undersigned, who will, at the request of any elector for the said electoral Wards, prepare for signature a nomination paper.

4. If the Elections are contested, the poll will take place on the 1ST MAY 2008.

5. Electors should take note that new postal vote applications and any notices in respect of amendment to or cancellation of existing postal or postal proxy appointments, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Town Hall, Wallasey by 5pm on Wednesday 16th April, 2008, if they are to be effective for this election.

6. New applications in respect of proxy voting and any amendment or cancellation of existing proxy appointments must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the address above by 5pm on Wednesday 23rd April 2008, or by 5pm on the 1st May 2008 in the case of a medical emergency, if they are to be effective for this election.
