Welcome To Wirral
Highway Enforcement
Wirral Council Environmental and Highway Enforcement Team cover the inspection of roads and pavements to monitor and take enforcement action against misuse of the highway.
We deal with abandoned vehicles, flytipping, the remove unlawful signs (flyposting) and the prosecution of offenders. We advise private companies on the alternatives to flyposting, advise builders and members of the public on safe storage of materials
We also approve permits for placing all skips on Wirral roads, deal with the regulation of Street trading, and regulation of business trade waste provision and the transportation of controlled waste within the Borough.
How do I report an enforcement problem?
Contact us with full details, about the site, address and nature of the suspected misuse of the environment/highway. You can telephone us on Streetscene 0151 606 2004 or use the online form.
We will respond to urgent requests for enforcement action with 24 hours and non-urgent requests for inspection within five working days.
