Welcome To Wirral

Day Services for Younger Adults

The aim of day services is to enable vulnerable people of the Wirral to lead full and purposeful lives within their communities. Day Services offer rehabilitation, stimulation, counselling and activities which maintain people’s health and provide the opportunity for companionship and socialising. Day services can also provide a break for carers.

Feeling part of your community is very important if you want to make sure that you are leading a full and active life. Some people face a wide range of very complex barriers to living full lives in their communities:

• People with learning disabilities

• Disabled and sensory impaired people

• People with mental health needs

• Autistic people

The day centres and outreach bases have staff that can help you decide what activities you want to do. You can then take part in activities based at the centres or you can join in with things in your own community. This could be going to college, doing voluntary work, or enjoying sports and arts.

What do day services do?

  • Support people to access recreation and social activities;
  • Support people to access employment and job skills services aiming to eventually gain employment;
