Day care services
Day care services are available for people with a wide range of needs, particularly for older people, people with learning disabilities, people with mental-health problems and people with physical disabilities.
The centres offer a range of activities including:
- support for you to gain or regain skills and confidence to become more independent;
- a chance to socialise and have fun;
- help with bathing;
- a break for you and your carer;
- training, leisure and recreational activities; and
- individual support and counselling.
- day care services are usually available between 9.30am and 5pm, although certain day care centres may offer more flexible times such as evenings and weekends.
