Older Persons Alcohol Worker
As a result of successfully securing Neighbourhood Renewal Funding, the Department for Adult social Services will be employing an Older Persons Worker to work solely with older people (people aged over 65 years) with alcohol misuse issues until 31st March 2008.
Older people will be seen by the new worker in the community or their own homes.
Both the Older Persons worker and the Outreach Officer will be part of the new Harm Reduction Team based in Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust. Awareness raising sessions for this new initiative will be coming soon to various venues such as community centres, halls, Age concern establishments and anywhere else that older people may congregate.
