Wirral Drugs and Alcohol Team (DAAT) the Drugs Team brings together various agencies and contributes on task groups to co-ordinate the joint working of statutory agencies, the voluntary sector and local communities such as:
ACT - 24hour telephone helpline for drug misusers, parents, families and other professionals concerned about drug misuse and crime across Merseyside.
The ACT Helpline provides anyone using drugs in Merseyside with a telephone
based support line which is designed to quickly move people into treatment
services. The ACT Helpline is designed to enable any substance misuser -
whether they are in police detention or in the community, to access immediate
support, advice and information over the telephone and within the same call to
be given an immediate (that is, next working day) appointment for face-to-face
treatment or support.
