If during the assessment the Financial Assessment Officer notices that the person has potential entitlement to additional benefits, they will (with consent) make a referral on behalf of the person to either the Local Pensions Service or the Council’s Welfare Benefits Unit.
The appropriate agency will then subsequently contact the person to pursue potential benefit claims.
