Central Advice and Duty Team (CADT)

Out of Hours Service - Emergency Duty Team.

Outside office hours the department operates an emergency service provided by an Emergency Duty Team on 0151 677 6557. On occasions when the service is excessively busy, a voice message will ask the caller to telephone the police who will contact EDT by radio pager.

The Emergency Duty Team deals with enquiries about help from the Department of Adult Social Services or Children and Young Peoples Department that cannot wait until the next working day. The team aims to make any situation safe until the daytime services can be used.

The service is available outside normal office hours, on Monday to Friday, from 5pm to 9am, and 24 hours a day at weekends and bank holidays (including Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter).
