Welcome To Wirral
Services to help vulnerable adults
Department of Adult Social Services provides support, care and help
for adults in the area who have social care needs and to provide a wide
range of services to help adults lead an active and independent life for as
long as possible.
People may need help for different reasons. It may be, for example, because
they have a disability, have a disabling illness, or they are losing their
sight or hearing. Others need help because they have a learning disability or
have mental health problems that are making it difficult to cope with everyday
tasks. Some people may need help because an accident has left them with a
disability or a mobility problem.
Some people only need help for a short time to help them regain their
independence, while others may need help for the rest of their lives.
