Interpretation

Interpretation services are a means of helping deaf people and hearing people to communicate more easily.

The two most common methods are British Sign Language and lip reading.

Please note, that for language translation/interpreting services, the Council currently uses services provided by the National Interpreting Service, who can be contacted on 0800 023 4089.

For Information & Advice contact the Central Advice and Duty Team Telephone 0151 606 2006.

The team are able to provide general information and advice and where appropriate take referrals for Adult Social Services for detailed enquires and requests for a service.
