Braille

A world wide system of embossed type invented by Louis Braille.

Braille used by blind and partially sighted people for reading and writing. It has been adapted to almost every known language, from Albanian to Zulu. People with visual impairment are entitled to ask for any of Wirral's information leaflets or letters in Braille. The Visual Impairment Team also provide regular training in Braille. Further information on any aspect of Braille services can be provided by the Central Advice and Duty Team.
