Welcome To Wirral

On Street Parking

On-street parking for people with disabilities.

Wirral Council administers a scheme to give blue badge holders a greater opportunity to park outside their home. There is currently no charge for this service.

In order to be eligible for an advisory disabled parking bay you must hold a blue badge, have a vehicle registered at the address and the designated driver must also live at the address. Additionally there should not be an alternative means of off-street parking or space within the property boundary to provide off-street parking for the applicant.

If you still wish to apply for a bay, please complete the form and return it to the address as indicated on the form. Please ensure that you enclose a copy of the relevant documents and have also had the form stamped and endorsed by your local family doctor.

The process to provide a bay includes a site survey to consider a suitable location for a bay and informing your neighbours and Ward Councillors of the intention to provide a bay. In some cases it is not always possible to provide a bay. Should this be a case we will let you know as early as possible and inform you of the reason why your request had been unsuccessful.

We must also stress these bays are advisory only. This means that it is not possible for the Councils civil enforcement officers to enforce who may or may not use this bay.
