Brief description of service:
MRSN & LASAR act as a networking and information service conduit for over 100 organisations on Merseyside who work in some capacity with refugees or asylum seekers.
This is done partly through the work of various subgroups (Children & young People, Health & Mental Health, Education Employment & Training and more), through whole network meetings, through provision of an e-mail news service, through provision of a web – based service directory (http://www.merseysidenetworkforchange.org/directory/letter_all.html).
The Children & Young Persons subgroup meets every 6-8 weeks, and is open to all interested or relevant organisations.
We also provide support for refugees & asylum seekers on their route towards employment. This includes bespoke support for individuals undergoing translation and interpretation training, and courses and provision created in partnership with member organisations.
