Part of Good Practice Unit of National homelessness Charity

Part of Shelter’s Young Person Team remit is to establish and maintain a national youth panel comprising young people who have experienced poor housing, homelessness or the care system.

Many of the young people involved are from the Wirral/Merseyside area. To say we provide a service is stretching things a little but the raison d’etre of the panel is to get young people involved as a direct input to policy makers. There are many benefits to being involved in terms of the building of a skills base.
