What benefits come from the Wirral Merseyside Youth Games Development Programme?

Not only is the sponsorship about the Merseyside Youth Games and Wirral Mini Games, it is about opening the eyes of the youth of Wirral to the positive effect of sport upon their lives. It involves; development programmes for schools, clubs and the local community that promotes health, lifelong learning and access to sport for everyone, regardless of ability or disability. This is achieved by taster sessions, coaching courses and teacher education throughout the year, leading onto trials and competitions. As you can see, the programme does not stop with the Games weekend, but is a continuous scheme, running throughout the year and is constantly supported by the Wirral Sports Development Unit and School Sport Partnerships, clubs who have made it possible to allow many children enjoy sport.

In order to continue this innovative and dynamic programme, sponsorship is paramount to the overall success of the initiative. Previous sponsors have included Littlewoods, BT, The Daily Post and Sportsmatch.
