Cultural and Equalities Development Officer
My name is Stacey Manion and I am the Cultural and Equalities Development Officer at Wirral Council and work in Cultural Services.
I have been in post since May 2007. As part of my role I have the responsibility of ensuring that children and adults (5yrs +) with a disability have the opportunity to access all leisure and cultural facilities, activities, and programmes. My current work involves improving current over all provision. I co-ordinate holiday and term time programmes/ events within sport, leisure, and culture for children and adults with disabilities.

Tranmere Community Youth Team – Disability
Football training sessions open to ages 6 yrs – 16yrs
There will be opportunities for children to play as a team representing the club and Wirral in the Disability Cheshire and Merseyside League
Taster starting November 08 for 5 weeks on 6th 13th 20th 27th Nov, and 4th Dec 5pm – 6pm at Woodchurch Sports Complex Sports Hall (not the leisure centre but next door to Woodchurch High School). Please contact Stacey Manion on the number below for further details.
Cost per session per child is £2 and to be paid at each session
Disability Swimming Lessons
The disability swimming lessons through Swim Wirral aim to provide safe and supported lessons to meet the needs of all children with a disability in Wirral. The lessons are available after school and at weekends for group or one to one lessons.

Martial Arts
A new martial arts club has been created for children and young people with disabilities within Wirral. If parents/carers have any questions or are interested and would like to book onto a lesson please contact Mike Smith on the telephone number below.
Every Monday from 5pm – 5.45pm

Bebington High Sports College - All Active Saturday Sports Club
This club is aimed at children and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities
Venue: Bebington High Sports College
Time: Saturday Mornings 9.30am - 11.00am
Age Groups: 8 – 18 Years
Sports: Boccia, Kurling, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Gymnastics, Badmington, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Tag Rugby and more …
