Disability Sport
Wirral Council has a Cultural and Equalities Development Officer, Stacey Manion, who is responsible for ensuring that children and adults with a disability have the opportunity to access all leisure and cultural facilities, activities, and programmes. Stacey is currently seeking to improve current over all provision and co-ordinates holiday and term time programmes/ events within sport, leisure, and culture for children and adults with disabilities.

Football training sessions open to ages 6 yrs – 16yrs
There will be opportunities for children to play as a team representing the club and Wirral in the Disability Cheshire and Merseyside League

Cost per session per child is £2 and to be paid at each session
Disability Swimming Lessons
The disability swimming lessons through Swim Wirral aim to provide safe and supported lessons to meet the needs of all children with a disability in Wirral. The lessons are available after school and at weekends for group or one to one lessons.

Oval Disability Family Swim Session
The Oval has a swim session now open for children and young people with a disability and their families. The session is on a Saturday afternoon from 3pm - 4pm. For more details please feel free to contact Stacey Manion 0151 666 4842 or The Oval centre on 0151 645 0596. (Please note this session will not be staffed by the Disability Sport Development Team).
Martial Arts
A new martial arts club has been created for children and young people with disabilities within Wirral. If parents/carers have any questions or are interested and would like to book onto a lesson please contact Mike Smith on the telephone number below.

This club is aimed at children and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities
Venue: Bebington High Sports College
Time: Saturday Mornings 9.30am - 11.00am
Age Groups: 8 – 18 Years
Sports: Boccia, Kurling, Football, Basketball, Tennis, Gymnastics, Badmington, Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Tag Rugby and more …
