Grange Road West Sports Centre

Grange Road West Sports Centre is situated on the outskirts of central Birkenhead. The building was originally used as a Territorial Army Drill hall until the Council took ownership of the site in 1969, when it was converted to a sports centre. The centre has a large sports hall, which is used for a variety of sports including trampoline, handball, football and badminton. Additional amenities include a weights room, an activity and fitness room.

The Youth Sports Nights offer sporting activities to young people between the
ages of 8 - 17 years at leisure facilities across Wirral. All activities are
designed to create diversionary pursuits, thereby reducing anti-social
behavior that is often caused when young people have to much spare time
on their hands. Working in partnership with a range of agencies these
externally funded activities include football, Trampolining, basketball and
