Wirral Archives Service
Wirral Archives Service, based in the Cheshire Lines Building, collects, preserves, stores and catalogues all types of historical documents relating to the Wirral area, its people, businesses and institutions.
The archives include ledgers, newspapers, photographs, maps, plans, films, title deeds, legal and business papers and microfilms. The earliest document recorded is from 1447, continuing up the present day, with a strong emphasise on the 19th and 20th Century. Wirral Archives offers facilities for organisations, businesses and members of the public to donate or deposit documents which are relevant to the service.
Opening Times:
Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm, and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
