Housebound Reader Service
Wirral has no mobile library service but does operate a housebound reader service for people unable to visit their local library owing to ill health or immobility. This includes residents of nursing homes and sheltered accomodation.
The service provides standard and large print books, talking books, music tapes, jigsaws, reference and community information. the service is free of charge and available to all residents who are housebound in the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral areas.
