General Information

Throughout the 19th Century this building stretching between the River Mersey and Shore Road, was a storage and transit warehouse. Various commodities from all across the globe were unloaded from the huge ships that plied the busy river. Whilst part of this building is now the Post Office Sorting Depot, the half has been transformed into Pacific Road, Birkenhead's largest multi-purpose arts and exhibition centre.

Situated close to the Woodside Ferry Terminal and Hamilton Square Station, Pacific Road is easily accessible by all forms of transport. For those who prefer to travel by car, ample parking is available for organised events. For the more adventurous, several heritage buses are available for hire. Collect your guests in a manner they will remember for ever.

The building may be 19th Century, but the performance and viewing areas most definitely belong in the present day! This grand ex-storage and transit shed has been totally transformed into THE performing arts venue. Indeed, it was so recognised by achieving Mersey Tourism's Performing Arts Venue of the year Award after only being in operation for one season.

Hire of Pacific Road

Pacific Road enjoys an excellent reputation as a centre for events and conferences both on a local and national level. This is largely due to the flexibility of the venue, its excellent technical; facilities, proximity to good travel links, and most importantly, friendly and helpful staff who are committed to ensuring that your event is a great success.

As a theatre space, we welcome all local and amateur groups offering full technical support, assistance with box office, and newly refurbished backstage facilities. For local orchestras and choirs, the acoustic is second to none the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra regularly rehearse here!

What ever your conference needs, Pacific Road can accommodate any type of event from 400 delegates seated theatre style to that special product launch, exhibition or business meeting.

Location
The box office entrance is at the top of Pacific Road and accessed via the car park.

Opening Times
The box office is open Monday - Friday 9.30 am - 4.30 pm

To purchase tickets on the night please call in to the box office at the top of Pacific Road.
Pre-paid tickets will be available as usual at the Arts Centre Entrance.

Paying for your tickets

You can pay for your tickets in the following way:

• In cash at the box office
• By credit/debit card in person or by phone (Please note a £1 charge will be levied per transaction to cover costs)
• By cheque in person or by post, payable to Metropolitan Borough of Wirral. If by post, please enclose a SAE for prompt dispatch of tickets. We will send you your tickets for a small charge of 50p or they can be left for collection on the door.

Concessions
(prices shown in brackets) are available to elderly persons, under 16's full-time students, unwaged and Wirral Passport holders.

Access
We have full disabled access. However, please do tell box office when booking your tickets if you require one of our wheelchair spaces. Please note we do not currently have a loop/infra red hearing system.
