Wirral 50/50 Grant Loans

This form of assistance will replace Renovation Grants for a transition period up until 2008, pending the introduction of Equity Renewal Loans. Wirral 50/50 Grant Loans will be available for homeowners of the retained houses in the Tranmere Church Road Master plan Area. The maximum eligible refurbishment scheme cost will be £30,000, with a maximum £15,000 grant and the remaining £15,000 being levied as a financial charge on the property.

The above policy is subject to annual consultation and review and the financial assistance which the Council will make available via Improvement Schemes from 2008 will be made clear later in 2007.
