Wirral Renovation Grants

These grants will no longer be available except for existing approved schemes in Tranmere

Wirral 50/50 Grant Loans

This form of assistance will replace Renovation Grants for a transition period of 18 months, pending the

introduction of Equity Renewal Loans. Wirral 50/50 Grant Loans will be available for homeowners of the retained houses in the Tranmere Church Road Master plan Area and other schemes in the Housing Market Renewal Area to be approved by the Council. The maximum eligible refurbishment scheme cost will be £30,000, with a maximum £15,000 grant and the remaining £15,000 being levied as a financial charge on the property.

Wirral Group Repair Schemes

A ‘block repair scheme organised and managed on behalf of or directly by the Council for renovating the

property exteriors of a group of houses. Grants may be provided to the scheme participants subject to certain

qualifying criteria, and currently applies only in the ‘Triangles Group Repair Scheme’ area of North Birkenhead.
