Welcome To Wirral
Eric Service
Bulky waste collections: the ERIC service.
Wirral Council will come and collect your bulky items for free (conditions apply).
All you need to do is call Streetscene on 0151 606 2004.
The ERIC service is extremely popular with Wirral residents and responds to more than 21,000 requests a year for collections.
- The Service is available to residents only
- The ERIC service is restricted to two furniture collections and two white goods collections free of charge. Subsequent requests will be charged £15 per visit.
- Streetscene will advise whether your items are classed as 'Furniture' or 'White Goods' (or both).
- All items to be collected must be specified e.g. Table & 6 Chairs, or bed-base, mattress, & chair not six items of furniture or up to six household items.
- Items to be collected must be left outside your home in the case of flats this must be on the ground floor, outside by 7am on the day of collection. (Collections will take place between 7am - 4pm, - unfortunately it is not possible to specify a particular time).
- Some items will not be removed by the ERIC Service, such as builders waste, or small items that can easily be disposed of in your wheelie bin.
- Businesses (including Charities) must make their own arrangements with a private Waste Contractor)
